Currently reading

I finally (!) started Yellowface on audio and I’m completely hooked. I’ve been meaning to read this for ages and have seen it everywhere since its release that I must be one of the few people left who hadn’t read it yet. It’s also my first R. F. Kuang so doubly excited for that! I’m just under halfway through and really curious to see where it all ends up. I’m also enjoying Of Kings and High Mages, the final book in the Arlan’s Pledge series. I’m at around the 60% mark on this one and I’m looking forward to seeing what more the author has in store for these characters!

Recently read

I recently finished Dream Count after what felt like forever. This was one of my most anticipated reads of the year, but sadly ended up not fully working for me. I am planning to write a short review of this one to help process my thoughts, so hopefully I’ll manage to have that out soon-ish.

Up next

For once, I actually have picked my next reads already! My hold for Blessings came through from the library, so that’s an obvious first choice – due dates are excellent motivators! Then, back to fantasy with more dragons and The Magical Legacy of the Ryūjin. I’ve been itching to pick this up ever since the author graciously sent me a copy, so I’m super excited that I can finally do so!
